Mediation and Paralegal Services

Mediation Services

Mediation is a process by which a neutral third party assist parties in reaching mutually acceptable and voluntary agreement.  A mediator does not give legal advice, but is there to help to identify issues and reduce conflict and barriers while trying to reach an amicable agreement to the issue(s) at hand. The parties in the case are making the decisions and solving disputes in a collaborative and effective manner; the mediator is there to facilitate the process.  Once the parties have reached an agreement, the mediator will draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the parties to review and sign.

At Winning Strategies, we focus on family mediation services:

  • Divorce and Separation Agreements
  • Child Custody/Sharing Plans

Our Mediators are are members of the Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence and by doing so we have made "a commitment to continued learning and self-evaluation. We also agree to adhere to ethical standards and to cooperate with the Mediation Ombuds Program" To learn more about the Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence, click here.

Legal Documentation Preparation Services

As the cost of hiring an attorney goes up, the public is left with few affordable document preparation options. One solution is to use an Independent Paralegal saving time and money!  Our area of expertise is Family Law; but also has experience with Bankruptcy filings.

An Independent Paralegal is not an attorney. Our job is to provide access to basic legal information necessary to make your own decision(s) on how to choose the necessary legal forms you will need to file in your case. We can then, using your own words, type your motions, briefs, and memorandums.

Our Paralegals strictly follow the National Federation Paralegal Association's code of ethics.
